The changes continue around the back.

The 2027 NX introduces Lexus’ new Double L Signature rear lighting design. The illuminated L-shaped elements are connected visually by an illuminated Lexus logo, giving the rear a wider and more distinctive appearance.

Performance Moves Further Into Electrification

One of the biggest changes for 2027 is underneath the body.

For the U.S. market, the NX moves to an electrified-only lineup, with Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains.

The lineup includes the NX 350h and NX 450h+, with different grades and drivetrain configurations depending on the powertrain.

Lexus has also made extensive changes to the chassis, steering, suspension, braking system and body rigidity, with the goal of delivering a more refined and engaging driving experience.

For the NX 450h+, Lexus says the revised lithium-ion battery increases both output and capacity by 8%, while DC fast charging is now available as standard on the PHEV grade.

Development and testing included Toyota’s Technical Center Shimoyama in Japan and the Nürburgring in Germany, helping Lexus further refine the NX’s driving dynamics.

For buyers who want a sportier appearance, the NX F SPORT receives its own distinctive exterior treatment.

Inside, the F SPORT features an all-black instrument panel with contrast stitching, creating a more driver-focused atmosphere.

For the U.S. market, the 2027 Lexus NX is planned to offer four grades:

Premium

Premium+

F SPORT

Luxury

The NX 350h hybrid is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive on the Premium and Premium+ grades, while the F SPORT and Luxury grades are offered exclusively with all-wheel drive.

The NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid is available across the lineup and is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive.

Lexus has not yet announced pricing or additional grade details for the 2027 NX. Those details will be released closer to the vehicle's on-sale date.
